CDV of Dwight E. Frayer of the 15th New York Heavy Artillery, Company M. Image signed ''Dwight E. Frayer'' in ink to verso: identified from an album of 15th New York Heavy Artillery soldiers. Frayer enlisted at Copake, New York and mustered into service on 15 January 1864. He mustered out on 22 August 1865 at Washington, D.C. The 15th New York saw action at Fort Lyon, the Wilderness, Spotsylvania, Bethesda Church, Cold Harbor and Petersburg. Some darkening to image, else very good.
