CDV of Corporal Matthew Faulkner of the 15th New York Heavy Artillery, Company M. Image signed, ''Matthew Faulkner,'' in ink to verso: identified from an album of 15th New York Heavy Artillery soldiers. Faulkner mustered into service on 18 January 1864. He mustered out with the rest of the regiment on 22 August 1865 at Washington, D.C. The 15th New York saw action at Fort Lyon, the Wilderness, Spotsylvania, Bethesda Church, Cold Harbor and Petersburg. Slight fading to image, else very good condition.
