Manitou Gallery of Cheyenne, Wyoming welcomes you to its 15th Annual Show and Auction. We are proud to offer over 600 lots of Fine art, Native American and Cowboy collectibles in this sale.
We have consignments to this auction from over 40 consignors, including a gentleman’s estate from Portland, Oregon. Of particular note is the C.M. Russell, 12”x18” goauche, recently discovered in an Eastern estate (Lot 459). An O.C. Seltzer 20”x30” oil dated 1910 (Lot 455) and numerous paintings by early Cowboy Artists of America, John Hampton, Shorty Shope, Fred Harmon, Nick Eggenhofer, George Phippen and William Moyers. E.W. “Bill” Gollings is represented by 2 lots (501 and 413).
Wildlife art enthusiasts may pick from several original works of art by Roy Mason, Bill Freeman, Angus Short, Walter Baumgartner and Gerhard C. F. Miller.
Native American highlights include a collection of fine Navajo textiles including Germantown’s (Lot 370 and 54) and several nice transitional pieces (Lot 422).
Northern plains beadwork is offered including a fine large Sioux dress (Lot 397), a beaded saddle blanket (Lot 399) and fully beaded ceremonial moccasins (Lot 396).
The auction will be held at the Townhouse Inn 1411 10th Avenue South, Great Falls, Montana on Friday and Saturday, March 15th and 16th at 12:00 Noon. Admission is free. Or, you now have the option to bid on-line in real time at this site.
