STAR TREK: DEEP SPACE NINE (T.V. SERIES, 1993 - 1999) - Production-Made Ship Model Miniature with Cobra Command Logos - A ship model miniature with Cobra Command logos from the production of Rick Berman and Michael Piller's Star Trek: Deep Space Nine. In the Season 1 episode "Babel," Captain Jaheel (Jack Kehler) damaged the titular space station's core while trying to flee a spreading virus in his ship.

Both this model and the final filming model for Jaheel's ship were designed by renowned franchise model maker Greg Jein based on the Ken Larson "Ranger 3" prototype seen as a Katarian ship in the Buck Rogers in the 25th Century episode "Buck's Duel to the Death." In addition to inspiring several other Jein models from the production, the design was again updated and recreated through CGI for Neelix's (Ethan Phillips) ship, the Baxial, in Star Trek: Voyager.

However, as this miniature exhibits no signs of redressing and features different detailing than any of those vessels - including GI Joe Cobra Command logos not meant to be distinguishable on camera - it is not believed to have been used as a filming model, despite its appearance in an illustration in Star Trek Fact Files.

This resin miniature is painted gray and beige with red and gray bottom storage compartments; wiring visible beneath; two rear lights; labels "D-1655," "JP.40," and "ASTM;" and red and black Cobra Command logos on the front and sides. It exhibits flaking paint, exposed resin, and a loose top compartment. Dimensions: 15.5" x 6" x 4" (39.5 cm x 15.25 cm x 10.25 cm)

Contains electronic components; see notice in the Buyer's Guide.

Estimate: $3,500 - 7,000
