THE GOLDEN CHILD (1986) - The Golden Child's (J.L. Reate) Robe - The Golden Child's (J.L. Reate) robe from Michael Ritchie's The Golden Child. The Golden Child wore his signature robe throughout the film while Sardo Numspa (Charles Dance) held him hostage.

This mesh red fabric robe, a less detailed version lacking such features as the dragon emblem seen on the reverse in some shots, originated from a Butterfield & Butterfield auction. It features decorative Asiatic gold-color and purple lame detailing along the collar, sleeves, lapel, and hem as well as cotton-padded red interior lining and gold-color button loop closures on the collar and lower chest. The robe exhibits pilling along the hem, staining to some of the lame, and small tears in the mesh from production wear and handling.

Estimate: $3,000 - 6,000
