15" Inch CUSTOM HAND MADE DAMASCUS STEEL HUNTING BOWIE KNIFE DEER ANTLER HANDLE W/CASE Factory Second FACTORY SECOND KNIFE. When mixing damascus steel, sometimes the nickel steel cannot be mixed well, leaving a bad pattern in the damascus pattern. Blade is still as tough and strong as a normal blade, it's just the nickel mixture was to high. Please see pictures to show representation of what your knife will look like. Antler handle is in beautiful condition, it's just a bad pattern on the blade. You can still use this knife as normal. You can even take the antler section off if you want and put on a new knife for yourself. Blade Detail HANDMADE STEEL DAMASCUS HUNTING KNIFE - Blade is Hand Forged with 1095 & 15N20 High and Low Carbon Steel with over 200 Layers.These two alloys are folded together many times, then dipped in Ferric Chloride which eats away at the different metals at different rates showing the Damascus pattern. This is genuine folded steel, not laser printed. Scores a 58 HRC on the Rockwell Scale - This metal is tough and ready for work. Creating Damascus steel is still unknown to this day. The process has been lost for the past 500 years. Today, we fold several different steels together, dip in Ferric Chloride which eats away the metals at different rates to show the Damascus pattern. Handle Detail DEER ANTLER HANDLE - 3/4 Tang- Brass Steel Guards - designed to fit perfectly in your hand, this golden grip easily balances in your hand. Each deer antler handle base will look slightly different, but all will be made from the same material, Deer Antler. It has been sealed with a clear coat polyurethane to prevent cracking or drying out and to preserve the handle for as long as possible. This handle is not made of plastic, I can guarantee this is made of Red Deer antler.
