This is a very fine 14k yellow gold and enamel pin/pendant, c. 1900. The enamel work is unusual with wonderful irridescence to the flowers and background. The frame is beautifully made and consists of three layers (see last photo). The top has wirework decoration. The pin has a European hallmark (a lyre with "5" inside it and "585" underneath), another mark (W with a small 7) and also 14k. The piece has a trombone clasp so it can be worn as a brooch and also has a large bail on a hinge that can be raised to wear the pin as a pendant. The pin measures 1 1/2" x 1 1/4" and is in pristine condition with no repairs or damage. There is a small bail at the back of the pin that probably had a tiny chain and safety pin attached.
