STAR TREK: FIRST CONTACT (1996) - Michael and Denise Okuda Collection: Binder with Annotated Third Draft Script, Call Sheets, and Paperwork - A binder with an annotated third draft script, call sheets, and paperwork from Jonathan Frakes' Star Trek: First Contact. Captain Jean-Luc Picard (Patrick Stewart) and his crew flew the USS Enterprise to stop the Borg from preventing Zefram Cochrane (James Cromwell) entering warp speed to make first contact with an alien species.

This lot comes from the collection of celebrated Star Trek franchise artists and advisors Michael and Denise Okuda. It consists of one black vinyl binder labeled "Star Trek 8 First Contact" on the spine with a 36-page shooting schedule dated April 29, 1996 on blue paper titled "Star Trek Generations II," a 37-page packet of video graphic request forms, two pages of video consideration notes, a handwritten note, a third draft script titled "Star Trek: Borg" dated March 12, 1996 with 188 pages printed on various colors with handwritten annotations in graphite; 77 call sheet pages; five pages of a oneline schedule dated June 3, 1996; two pages of film credits; 47 call sheet pages titled "Star Trek Generations II"; 11 pages of production reports; and a two-page filming location map. The 47 call sheets, production reports and filming location map are titled under "Star Trek Generations II," the film's working title before Star Trek: First Contact, as well as "Star Trek: Borg" as another production working title. This lot exhibits folding and sticking pages. Dimensions: (largest) 8.5" x 14" (221.75 cm x 335.75 cm)Though their long and celebrated careers in the Star Trek world began in features, Michael and Denise Okuda established themselves as franchise legends while working on Star Trek: The Next Generation. Michael became art supervisor on TNG, while Denise came on as a scenic artist during Deep Space Nine, roles they would continue to perform through Voyager, Enterprise, and the Next Generation films. Married in 1993, the Okudas are known as the driving forces behind the development of many of the now-iconic 24th-century technologies seen throughout the series, including the famous "Okudagrams" they created for the LCARS (Library Computer Access and Retrieval System) interfaces .
