his year’s sale has turned out to be one of our best New Year’s sales to date and is loaded with 450-500 lots of fresh-to-the-market estate antiques from various New England homes and estates. This sale will consist of 18th and 19th century paintings and prints, a selection of decorated stoneware, folk art, early bottles and glass, Staffordshire china and other early English ceramics, a small collection of gold coins, early brassware and metalwares, a fine selection of early country accessories to include pantry boxes, woodenware, rugs, blue Canton and Rose Medallion, weather vanes, sterling and silver plated flatware and holloware, quilts, clocks, a collection of fine contemporary Native American craftwork (mostly beadwork, many by known Indian makers—40+ pieces) and Western and Native American contemporary bronzes by Frederick Remington and others, a fine collection of 19th century dolls, carriages and accessories from The Springfield Museums, Springfield, MA to include French fashion, bisque, china, early composition and wax, wooden and others by various makers (150+ lots), plus many other fine and appropriate 18th-20th century accessories of the period.
