William Somerset's (Morgan Freeman) Badge and "Dante's Inferno" Book with David Mills' (Brad Pitt) "The Canterbury Tales" Book - Detective Lieutenant William Somerset's (Morgan Freeman) badge and "Dante's Inferno" book with David Mills' (Brad Pitt) "The Canterbury Tales" book from David Fincher's Se7en. Somerset carried his badge while he and his novice partner Detective David Mills (Brad Pitt) investigated a series of gruesome murders inspired by the seven deadly sins.

This lot consists of a gold-color metal badge engraved "Detective Metropolitan Police" and numbered "1024" on front with a bald eagle emblem at the center and a fastening strip on the reverse for adhering to a uniform; a 1948 Pantheon published "Dante's Inferno" with illustrations by Gustave Dore; and a 1988 Michael O'Mara Books published "The Canterbury Tales" with color printed illustrations by M.L. Kirk. This lot exhibits some staining and additional numbers etched on the reverse of the badge including "ISS 0" covered up by the fastening strip, and distressing by production on the books to appear well-read with cracking along the spine, edge wear to the cover and pages, and discoloration throughout. Dimensions: (largest) 8.5" x 11.25" x 1" (21.75 cm x 28.75 cm x 2.75 cm)
