A FINE & RARE Large Eighteenth Century Chinese Famille Porcelain Vase, hand-painted with traditional Chinese taste decoration depicting pair yellowish birds warbling on blossoming plum branch, measuring 13.6" in height by 4.3" wide. The vase is marked with the six-character reign mark of the Qianlong Emperor in the base.

This is a truly wonderful example richly painted with vibrant colors. The piece is constructed from slabs of clay and the base marked with a small square containing the Qianlong mark. The broad and somewhat grand painting is marvelously fluent, and is typical of early Qianlong wares.

A rare-to-find example and a most worthy addition to any collection!

Condition: Hole to base. Otherwise in excellent condition with no cracks, chips or restoration whatsoever. The paintwork is not flaked and is not worn or rubbed.
