115248580 She stands tall on her hind legs and looks out over the river watching the salmon swim upstream. Her little cub leans against her leg making sure she is secure and safe being comforted by her touch. The cub stands on the edge of the river bank and dips her tiny paw into the water embracing this new experience. Her mother has taken her to the river bank to show her how to fish and to calm a rumbling tummy. This bronze sculpture was cast using the "Lost Wax Method" which has been used for thousands of years ensuring the best quality and detail you can get. This quality is seen in all the miniscule detail of the sculpture. The river bed and the debris of broken branches, rocks, pebbles, and leaf help create and capture the environment these wild bears roam in. The body proportion and fine lined and texturized fur coats of the bears give them a life like feel. They have absolutely gorgeous facial details as well as claws. This bronze sculpture captures a heartwarming moment of a mother bear teaching her cub. This sculpture is 100% bronze and is handmade. It has a tow toned brown patina and is mounted on a solid beveled black marble base. This sculpture is signed J. Moigniez. Jules Moigniez was born in Senlis sur L'Oise, France in 1835 and died in Saint-Martin-du-Teire, France on May 29, 1894. The son of a metal gilder, Moigniez was a student of Paul Comolera. He debuted at the Exposition Universelle in 1855 with Pointer and Pheasant and Falcon and Weasel each in plaster...................SHIPPING USA: $25....HI, ALASKA, CANADA: $69...ALL OTHER COUNTRIES: $169
