RAIN MAN (1988) - Raymond "Ray" Babbitt's (Dustin Hoffman) Shirt and Camera - Raymond "Ray" Babbitt's (Dustin Hoffman) shirt and camera from Barry Levinson's Rain Man. Ray took his camera on his road trip home to California from the Wallbrook mental institution with his brother Charlie. Later, he wore his shirt while watching the dryer at a laundromat and when Charlie let him drive his car in front of Caesar's Palace.

With significant acclaim for its storytelling and performances, Rain Man won a total of four Academy Awards& reg;, including Best Actor for Hoffman and Best Picture. It was the highest-grossing film of 1988, and remains a landmark in the history of cinematic depiction of spectrum disorders.

This lot consists of a yellow and blue plaid polyester-cotton Wedgefield button-up dress shirt (size L) and a vintage Kodak Instamatic X-15 hand-marked "Ractor: Raymond" [sic] on the reverse. The shirt exhibits minor holes on the right shoulder and back, while the camera's current functionality remains untested.
