FORREST GUMP (1994) - Forrest Gump's (Tom Hanks) Box of Chocolates - Forrest Gump's (Tom Hanks) box of chocolates from Robert Zemeckis' Forrest Gump. Forrest brought his long-time friend and first love, Jenny, a box of chocolates with a pale yellow ribbon when he visited her at college while it was raining. The box of chocolates remained a recurring motif with Forrest, lending to the iconic scenes of him sitting with one throughout the film at the bus stop to meet Jenny once more.

Forrest Gump was nominated for 13 Academy Awards& reg; and won six, including Best Picture, Best Director, and Best Actor for Tom Hanks' performance as Gump. It is often ranked among the best films ever made, earning it a place in the Library of Congress' National Film Registry in 2011.

Believed to be a real-world chocolate box lid with a black backing, this lot consists of one "The Gift Box" Russell Stover Candies box of chocolates with a pale yellow ribbon composed of white paper-wrapped cardboard. The box features some modifications, including a white-out barcode. The interior of the box has been weighted, but also still retains the original cellophane film-covered chocolates. Two types of ribbons are seen in the film, a peach color ribbon and this yellow colored ribbon that is seen during the rain scenes. This box exhibits discoloration, torn and ripped cardboard on the edges repaired with tape, separated paper, lifted adhesive, a buildup of grime, and frayed fibers. Dimensions: 13.25" x 6.5" x 1.5" (33.25 cm x 16.5 cm x 4 cm)
