FLASH GORDON (1980) - Flash Gordon's (Sam J. Jones) Screen-Matched Leotard with Replica Belt and Replica Pants - Flash Gordon's (Sam J. Jones) screen-matched leotard from Mike Hodges' Flash Gordon with a replica belt and replica pants. Flash changed into his red and black leotard after he fought Barin (Timothy Dalton) in the death match set up by the Hawkmen before the Hawkmen evacuated Sky City due to Klytus' (Peter Wyngarde) arrival. A unique misalignment under the left armpit of the leotard screen-matches to the scene after Gordon escaped the Hawkmen's base, and the alignment of the center crest and distinctive pinch marks in the sewing screen-match to the scene in which Flash pilots War Rocket Ajax.

As a fan-favorite cult classic, Flash Gordon saw commercial success in the United Kingdom and Italy. It is remembered notably for its soundtrack, which was composed and performed by the classic rock-and-roll group Queen.

This two-tone leotard is made of an elastane-blend heavy knit fabric with a hand-embroidered Ming the Merciless sun symbol patch sewn onto the front. The leotard features a self-adhesive strip closure at the crotch. Also included is a replica belt made of foam and a pair of distressed cotton replica pants. This bodysuit exhibits popped and loose threads along the leg holes.

Estimate: $20,000 - 40,000
