MIMIC 2 (2001) - Judas Breed Transition Head - A Judas Breed transition head from the production of Jean de Segonzac's Mimic 2. The Judas Breed, an evolved version of the insects first seen in Guillermo del Toro's Mimic, mutilated several New Yorkers throughout the film. This is one of several static heads created for practical effects purposes, such as sequences depicting the shapeshifting Judas Breed transitioning in form.

This ornately detailed head, featuring two large eyes, pointed mandibles and pinchers, and a swollen, wrinkled forehead, is cast from resin and hand-painted in shades of brown, black, pink, and yellow. It is finished with lacquer to appear slimy and textured with slits and skin lines throughout. The head comes mounted to a wooden display base with a plaque reading "Mimic 2 Judas Bug." It exhibits flaking paint throughout, exposing the resin on the back of the head and around the neck. Dimensions: 12" x 13" x 17" (30.5 cm x 33 cm x 43.25 cm)

Estimate: $1,000 - 2,000
