MARVEL COMICS - Hand-Drawn John Byrne Howard the Duck Sketch - A sketch of Howard the Duck hand-drawn by renowned comic artist John Byrne. Created for Marvel Comics by writer Steve Gerber and artist Val Mayerik, Howard was among the publisher's most recognizable characters with appearances in multiple Marvel publications, television series, and films, including his own in 1986. Byrne contributed art to numerous issues of the comic series.

Rendered in pencil and marker circa 1978, this sketch of the Duck was removed from Byrne's personal sketchbook and features a tally of Byrne's groceries in the bottom left corner. The image was later published in Sal Quartuccio's book The Art of John Byrne. It exhibits tearing on its left edge from the sketchbook. Dimensions: 10.75" x 14" (27.5 cm x 35.75 cm)

Sold without copyright; see notice in the Buyer's Guide.
