This eleven soapstone figures have a white to dark brown color and were made during the 6th/7th century in the Mongol Empire. The figures are seated or standing and they are wearing the typical and characteristic clothes and headdresses of their culture. The sides are partially decorated with an engraved pattern that frames the figures at the same time. The representations provide insight into the history of the Mongols at this time and they are craved in a multistage relief.



The soapstone figures are in good condition for their age with usual signs of wear. Light material loss on the edges or on the reverse can be seen. The height is between 8 and 26.5 cm.
