11 FOREIGN HELMETS.
1) FRENCH. A French Adrian style helmet having a gray/blue finish. Front insignia is a similarly painted flaming bomb w/ “RF” on the bomb. Brown leather chinstrap. Black leather 7 tongue liner. CONDITION: finish is about 85%. Chinstrap & liner are complete. Helmet shows light overall wear. 2) FRENCH. A French Adrian style artillery helmet having a blue/black finish. Front insignia is a similarly painted bomb w/ “RF” on the bomb over crossed cannons. Black leather chinstrap. Black leather 7 tongue liner. CONDITION: finish is about 85%. Chinstrap is broken. Liner shows moderate wear. 3) FRENCH. A French Adrian style helmet having a field green finish. No front insignia. Dark brown leather chinstrap. Light brown leather 7 tongue liner. CONDITION: helmet body has a few dents. Finish is about 80%. Liner & chinstrap are complete. 4) FRENCH. A French Adrian style helmet having a blue/black finish. Front insignia is a flaming bomb w/ “RF” on the bomb. Insignia appears to be bright finish w/ the remains of gray paint on it. No liner or chinstrap. CONDITION: helmet body has 1 significant dent that appears to be a bullet strike. Helmet shows overall light to moderate wear. 5) FRENCH. A French Adrian style helmet having a tan/brown finish. Front insignia is missing. No chinstrap. Partial liner. Interior is stamped, “C (anchor) C” & “C60”. CONDITION: helmet finish is about 80%. Helmet body shows 1 minor dent. Liner is badly deteriorated. 6) FRENCH. A French Adrian style helmet having a black finish. Front insignia is missing. No chinstrap or liner. CONDITION: helmet has several shallow dents & may have been repainted. 7) ITALIAN. An Italian M33 helmet having a black finish. Leather chinstrap & liner. CONDITION: helmet finish is approx. 35%. Chinstrap & liner are complete & show light to moderate wear. 8) BRITISH. A British MK1 Dispatch Rider helmet having a dark field green finish. Liner, pad & chinstrap are intact. Interior marked “BMB 1945”. CONDITION: overall light wear. 9) NORTH VIETNAMESE. A North Vietnamese Army NVA Viet Cong sun helmet or pith helmet. A seldom seen real example of a North Vietnamese helmet worn by both regular Army & the Viet Cong. Helmet has a cloth cover w/ 2 vent holes on each side & 1 in the front. Leather like chinstrap. Partial liner. Interior is painted field green. CONDITION: helmet shows hard & significant wear. Vent cover is missing. A portion of the hat band is missing . Some of the covering is worn through to the composite helmet body. Only fragments of the liner remain. Soldier’s name appears to be scratched on the inside rear of the helmet. 10) JAPANESE. A Japanese Army helmet w/ a dark green finish. No liner, chinstrap or insignia. CONDITION: helmet has 95% of what appears to be the original finish remaining. 11) BRITISH. A British WWII P44 MK IV steel helmet sometimes called the “Turtle”. This example has been altered & remanufactured w/ a newer liner. Helmet has a dark green finish. Chinstrap & liner are complete. CONDITION: helmet finish is approx. 95%. (02-14385-1(11)/BF). $800-1,200.
