CDV signed by Elisha H. Tobey, 10th New York Heavy Artillery. Inscribed in ink, ''Respt Yours E. H. Tobey / 10th N.Y. Art. / Army of James.'' Elisha H. Tobey mustered into Company A of the 10th New York Heavy Artillery in August 1862. Tobey was promoted to 1st Lieutenant and again to Captain. In October 1864 he was commissioned into Company G of the same regiment. Image measures about 2.5'' x 4''. Top margin is trimmed for album insertion, bottom corners rounded. Slight foxing to outer edges. Overall excellent condition.
