JURASSIC PARK (1993) - Amber Gold Collection Prototype Product JPE 3 - An Amber Gold Collection prototype product JPE 3 from Steven Spielberg's Jurassic Park. John Hammond (Richard Attenborough) had miners collect a sample of prehistoric amber encasing a mosquito that contained the blood of dinosaurs which Hammond had scientists recreate to open his theme park Jurassic Park.

Created as examples of high-end collectables made for the first Jurassic Park film, this lot consists of a piece of harvested amber from Hispaniola, Dominican Republic, with a mosquito in the center adhered to an orange acrylic base wrapped in metal wiring and mounted in a wooden display box with "Jurassic Park" carved on the front and clear acrylic display windows; a brown and yellow printed Jurassic Park Amber Gold Collection booklet; and a small wooden "crate" identified as "JPE 003" with two woven twine straps. This lot exhibits a loose panel on the crate. Dimensions: (crate) 9.25" x 5.5" x 2.75" (23.5 cm x 14 cm x 7 cm)

Additional Provenance: A Certificate of Authenticity regarding the encase amber signed by Professor of Chemistry and Biochemistry Dr. Alexander M. Shedrinsky. The COA is adhered to the underside of the crate's lid.

Estimate: $1,500 - 3,000
