INTERSTELLAR (2014) - Endurance Fold-Up Bench - An Endurance fold-up bench from Christopher Nolan's Interstellar. Joseph Cooper (Matthew McConaughey), Amelia Brand (Anne Hathaway), Doyle (Wes Bentley), Professor Romilly (David Gyasi), CASE (Josh Stewart), and TARS (Bill Irwin) traveled in the Endurance to Gargantua wormhole in search of the survivors of the doomed Lazarus mission.

The Endurance's interior set was designed by production designer Nathan Crowley and decorated by set decorator Gary Fettis, both of whom received Academy Award& reg; nominations for their work. Folding benches modeled on a combination of NASA and commercial aircraft designs lined the walls of its modules.

This bench consists of gray plastic paneling labeled with English and German-language airplane signage, such as "Smoke Hood" and "Schwimmwesten Innen"; two rubber-lined and foam-padded seats with a shared headrest and maroon mesh vinyl upholstery; nylon waist latches; a canvas shoulder and head strap screwed into the headrests; and a wooden base paneled with checkered gray carpeting. The seats open and close via side latching mechanisms.

This bench exhibits signs of production use and handling throughout, including scratches on its paneling, lifting and torn rubber, vinyl, and carpeting, and staining on the upholstery. Dimensions: 36" x 17.25" x 41" (91.5 cm x 44 cm x 104.25 cm)

Contains mechanical components; see notice in the Buyer's Guide.

Estimate: $1,000 - 2,000
