INTERSTELLAR (2014) - Endurance Locker with Pair of Control Panels - An Endurance locker with a pair of control panels from Christopher Nolan's Interstellar. Joseph Cooper (Matthew McConaughey), Amelia Brand (Anne Hathaway), Doyle (Wes Bentley), Professor Romilly (David Gyasi), CASE (Josh Stewart), and TARS (Bill Irwin) traveled in the Endurance to Gargantua wormhole in search of the survivors of the doomed Lazarus mission.

The Endurance's interior set was designed by production designer Nathan Crowley and decorated by set decorator Gary Fettis, both of whom received Academy Award& reg; nominations for their work. A modular vessel with the largest module serving as the center of operations, it was created using a mix of NASA and commercial aircraft designs.

This lot consists of an empty, slatted, hinged metal locker applied with a NASA decal reading "Critical Space Item" and a U.S. Government plaque numbered "VD-72" on front; a wood-backed, three-piece control panel inset with 45 knobs and engraved with their functionalities, such as "1/C," "Nav 1,2," and "ORID/PA"; and a machined aluminum communications panel numbered "68187," labeled "UHF Comm," and featuring a variety of knobs and switches on front and loose wiring on the reverse. Holes are drilled on the sides of the locker and panels for mounting to the larger Endurance set.

Following production, the wiring on the comms panel was cut, rendering it nonfunctional. The lot exhibits rusting, scuffing, and staining throughout from production use and handling. Dimensions: (largest) 17" x 16.5" x 18" (43.25 cm x 42 cm x 45.75 cm)

Contains mechanical components; see notice in the Buyer's Guide.

Estimate: $1,500 - 3,000
