Antique $1000 uncut CSA 1861loan certificate note #2428. Loan of May 16th 1861 & amended June 13th 1864. Uncut sheet or coupons. Printed by Evans & Cogswell, Columbia, SC. Stamp at the bottom right featuring a red SCPalmetto CSA stamp. Signed by Robert Tyler. Engraving illustration depicts a Confederate soldier, sitting against a cotton bale, holding a Confederate flag, with a sailing ship in the background. 13 1/2" X 17".Several tears in this piece of paper, as noted in the photographs. One tear that is 1/2" X 1 1/2". Creases in paper from being folded, in delicate shape.
