Up for sale from a Baltimore Maryland estate is a very rare set of 10 early Boston and Sandwich flint glass Grape on vine engraved red wine glasses. They date from the Lacy period circa 1830-1850. This pattern was made for president Andrew Jackson in the 1830's and used by him in the White house with American made white & gold porcelain from the Tucker factory. The flint glasses are wheel engraved with grapes & grape leaves around a panel cut cup on a balustrade stem. Each has a polished pontil mark on the bottom. It is very rare to find a matched set of six or eight of these glasses but 10 is very rare. They have a value of $75. to $100. each. Condition: 3 glasses have a small flake on the rim. 4 glasses are in good condition the others have small base flakes. They measure 5" 1/4. Please ask all questions before you bid.
