This shotgun was manufactured in 1884 as a size 3 receiver with 32 inch 10 gauge damascus barrels. There is a single steel bead sight, choked cylinder/cylinder and 2 3/4 inch chambers with extractor. The top of the rib is engraved "PARKER BROS MAKERS. MERIDEN CONN. DAMASCUS STEEL". The bottom flat is marked with the 1878 and 1876 patent dates and "E/D 3/6". The left side plate is engraved with two quail in a field with flourishes of floral scroll. The right side is engraved with two ducks in flight with flourishes of floral scroll. The bottom has an oval with a game bird running in a field with flourishes of floral scroll around it. The bolsters, hammers, tangs and trigger guard have floral scroll. The water table is marked with the 1876, 1872 and 1875 patent dates with a "2" over the serial number. Mounted on a nicely figured, multi-point checkered splinter forearm and pistol grip stock with hard rubber grip cap, silver initial shield and checkered hard rubber buttplate. Length of pull is 12 1/4 inches.

Condition: Good, 20% of the brown finish remains on the barrel with most of the damascus pattern visible. There are some scattered light dings and some patches of surface oxidation on the barrels. The casehardened components retain 35% of the case colors mostly on the side plates. The wood is fine with some chipping by the forearm release and some low edges by the upper tang and moderately worn checkering.
