Our Assessment: In 1955, the United States launched the first nuclear-powered submarine, the NATO exercise "Carte Blanche" took place in Western europe, and Colt began shipping the finest precision combat and target revolver ever made. Almost 40 years later, the American Historical Foundation would commission 1,000 of these revolvers for their Colts of the 20th Century Collection. This example is from that limited run, finished in gold and silver with extensive engraving. The revolver looks like it has spent more time in its included display case than out. This would make a wonderful addition to any Colt revolver collection!
