a. Item(s) are bubble wrapped and double boxed with outside box dimension of 16 x 16 x 16

b. All boxes come with up to $100 of insurance (additional insurance available at $1 cost per $100 of valuation)

c. Boxes with dimensions larger than 16 x 16 x 16 may be subject to a minimum weight charge of up to 70 lbs. (regardless of actual weight) depending upon your choice of ground carrier.

d. delivery time estimates range from 1 business day to 5 business days (faster options are available at higher rates)

d. Claims for damage made more than one week after receipt of package may be rejected by the carrier for lack of timely reporting.

e. The carrier upon inspection may reject claims for damage if
ALL OF ORIGINAL PACKING MATERIAL IS NOT PRESENT AT TIME OF INSPECTION.

f. The shipping address in not a P.O. Box.

g. Shipping to international addresses is available at higher rates through Fedex and UPS (risk of duties charges is with the purchaser and duty payment authorization is required).

General Packing Description

Item(s) will be bubble wrapped with peanuts/popcorn in an interior box and placed in an additional exterior box with peanuts/popcorn. This is called double boxing. In cases were double boxing is not possible/practical, heavy-duty boxes and/or styro-board will be used.

Freight Considerations

In cases where the shipping container exceeds 150 lbs. or 130 inches in length and girth (i.e., larger than a 26 x 26 x 26 box), ground freight is used for door to door service. Assumptions:

a. Insurance is available at $2 cost per $100 of valuation

b. Items in a single container insured for more than $850 are required to be crated.

c. This service is considered “curbside” service.

d. Additional fees apply for locations which are not ground floor or which require a long walk to the delivery door.

e. Delivery personnel do not unpack items or remove the packing material.

f. Claims information in the general shipping guidelines (above) applies.

International considerations:

1. For accountability purposes, all international shipping is done through UPS or FEDEX ONLY.

2. With UPS and FEDEX, there is a possibility that the shipper’s account number may be charged for duties and VAT (Value Added Tax) subsequent to receipt of package. Authorization to recover this fee (if applicable) must be made in writing by the Austin Auction customer prior to shipment.

3. All UPS and FEDEX delivery dates are subject to customs. Specifically, if customs delays a package, UPS and FEDEX can not be held liable for failing to meet stated delivery dates.
