Attractive Etched and Gold Accented Custom Katar with Dual Flintlock Pistols
Measuring 16 1/2" in overall length, with a blade measuring 10 1/2" long and 3" wide, showing a reinforced tip and a large etched panel on each side, one depicting the Hindu goddess Kali, carrying a scythe and a severed head in her 2 left arms and the other depicting Shiva, carrying a trident with a serpent perched atop his head. The grip section shows extensive coverage of custom gold scroll and floral designs, with a pair of 2 1/2" wide grip bars. Mounted on either side of the grip and running parallel to the spine of the blade are a pair of box lock flintlock pistols, numbered "0" and "1" on the barrels and chambers, with light engraving and the triggers running into the grip, where they can be pulled by the index and little fingers.

Condition: Very good as custom made, with minimal loss of the gold finish along the edges and a contrasting brown patina to the iron. Mechanical adjustment is needed, as the hammers do not reach full cock. The blade and pistols all show a mixed brown and gray patina, with some dings on the blade edge and mild spotting overall.
