Henry Kissinger Signature Lot
Henry Kissinger Signature Lot including a one page typed letter signed "Henry", 6.5" x 8.5", on Kissinger's personal letterhead, New York, March 13, 1987, to William G. Hyland, New York. Kissinger has read the bound galleys for Hyland's book Mortal Rivals: Superpower Relations from Nixon to Reagan and writes in part: "Congratulations on MORTAL RIVALS. It will be an important contribution and I'm looking forward to reading it...every good wish for its success". Apparently having had some time to read portions of the galleys Kissinger has hand annotated the letter at the bottom and written: "I have read most of it. It is first class. But why the hatchet job on me?". Was this written in jest or? Included are the title page and half-title page excised from Kissinger's book White House Years. On the half-title page Kissinger has inscribed the book to presumably Hyland's wife: "To Dora Hyland Every good with Henry A. Kissinger". The pages were paper clipped together at one time and the removal of the clip has left a slight bit of rust and torn a small hole on the inscribed page, else all items are in fine condition.

Shipping: Flat Material, Small (view shipping information)
