Lot of three stock certificates.1865. Number 548 for $300, 585 for $500 and 582 for $100. Issued to JB Proctor, William F Day and Albert Babcock. Signed by president Ives Phillips and treasurer Coggshaw. All are hand cancelled. All include an 'Agricultural Branch Railroad Co.' oval double ring stamp. All have a 25c Revenue stamp. Horizontal fold. Generally in very nice condition. Incorporated in 1847 with authority to construct a railroad from Northborough to a branch of The Boston and Worcester at Framingham center. In 1855 Ives Phillips, Sullivan Fay and Cyrus Gayle represented the company in talks with the Boston & Worcester. These stock certificates are signed by Ives Phillips as president.
