This is an unusual revolver with a "double trigger". The unique design has a trigger assembly inside the trigger guard (upper trigger) and another extending below the trigger guard. The lower trigger cocks the action and the upper drops the hammer. For single fire, a user pulls the lower trigger and when ready pulls the top trigger to fire the weapon. For double action, both triggers are pulled simultaneously. The loading lever and trigger are marked "TRANTER 'S/No/ PATENT". The right side of the frame is marked "Patent No. 3674T". British proofs are present on the upper left barrel flat and alternating proofs between the cylinder chambers. The 5-shot cylinder features a game scene engraving featuring two tigers and two bucks. The rear face of the cylinder is numbered 29. An extensive vine and grape engraving is featured on the top and upper barrel flats and on the frame sides with a scroll engraving on the trigger guard and the heads of mythical gods on the sides of the barrel at the breech. The top strap features engraved patriotic/military themed engraved sections in front of the rear sight and at the breech. Fitted with a checkered one-piece grip with engraved cap. Comes with a blue felt lined partitioned wooden case featuring a Sportsmen's Warehouse/Charles Folsom celluloid label attached to the inside of the lid. The following accessories are included: oiler, Tranter two cavity brass bullet mold, tongs, two percussion cap tins, cleaning rod, and 5 paper wrapped rounds.
