The RCNA Sale

Auction Details

Welcome to our Sale of the Sakaguchi Collection, an impressive offering, joined by selections from 52 consignors from across North America. We expect this to be the most prestigious numismatic event of 2014, featuring
a superb and diverse Historical Collection of Canada’s finest and rarest coins and banknotes. Take a stroll through history and view
the wide selection of items from tokens through Silver Dollars. This amazing collection features an 1889 10 cents ICCS MS65, an 1890H 50 cents in ICCS MS62, an 1870 $2 note in F/VF, a 1935 $1000 French text in Choice AU, three consecutive 1935 $1000's including a RADAR note, a 1937 $50 Osborne in PMG UNC66, etc, etc. This collection offers not only circulated notes,
but Proof Notes & Specimen Notes as well, along with some Million, Solid, Ladder and several Numbered ONE notes.
This collection has been completely assembled within the last 20 years. Hundreds of Stores, Coin Shows and Auctions have been
searched through to find and put together this great collection. In most circumstances this collector tried to purchase only the best and
problem free notes of each type. Through aggressive research and negotiating he has managed what most would consider almost impossible
by today’s standards to put together.
Certain issues are either One of kind or Top graded for type. So, don’t miss this opportunity to better your collection by bidding your missing items at the Royal Canadian Numismatic Association auction (RCNA)
The collection includes some of the rarest coins and notes in private hands, including some very precious and Unique items.
Preparing this catalogue has been a wonderful task and a true career highlight. This collection surprised us with items that we assumed would never turn
up in our lifetime or in the future. The odds of survival made their discovery highly unlikely.

We are proud to present this unbelievable public, mail, fax, telephone, email and internet live auction. This is a quality auction which includes over 2100 lots of mainly Canadian and Newfoundland numismatic material.

The RCNA Sale will be held at the Delta Meadowvale Hotel and Conference Centre
6750 Mississauga Road, Mississauga, Ontario L5N 2L3 on August 13, 14, 15 and 16, 2014.

Our sincere thanks to The RCNA executive for choosing us again this year as the 2014 official RCNA auctioneers, and finally, and most importantly, to the consignors for entrusting us with the fantastic task of selling their collections.

If we can be of any assistance to you regarding the sale, please feel free to contact us.

We hope you enjoy this catalogue as much as we enjoyed making it.

All the best,
All new clients, who have never done business with us, will be required to contact us for registration and approval.
