Over 800 items gathered from Vancouver and Vancouver Island estates featuring fine old Northwest coastal and interior baskets: many fully imbricated Lillooets, Klikitats, Cowlitz and Chehailis baskets, three 19th C. Northwest cedar hats, Pima basket with 19 human figures, Tlingit rattletop baskets, Yurok basketry hat ca. 1900, tiny trinket baskets and large Salish storage trunks, Wasco figured salley bag, Nez Perce corn husk hat, Hupa acorn basket ca. 1900. Exceptional wood carvings include three early Charlie James totems, 19th C. bent wood box, superb Joe Seaweed feast dish, four fine old masks by Jack James, rare notch top hok hok mask, Inuit-Bearing Sea articulated seal mask, Nuu-chah-nulth halibut hook with cormorant design ca. 1860, rattles, paddles, totems. Beadwork of all description include sinew sewen pipe bags and moccasins, beaded dolls, jackets and bags, painted parfleche containers, classic old button blanket, fine old argillite carvings, mountain goat, sheep and wood ladles, Navajo rugs, Southwest pottery and kachinas, ancient Columbia River stone mauls and pestles, cases of arrowheads, paintings by Norval Morrisson, Bill Reid and Robert Davidson silkscreens and much more.
