This auction will feature over 200 antique clocks from many famous clock makers of the time! This historic clock auction consists of a collection that was put together over many years, primarily focused on early Connecticut clock makers of the early 1800s. Featuring many uncommon makers and labels that comprise of Seth Thomas, Eli Terry, Eli Terry & Sons, Eli Terry, Jun?r, Samuel Terry, Silas Hoadley, Ansonia Clock Co., Waltham, E & G W Bartholomew, Riley Whiting, Horace Tifft, Mitchell Atkins, Jerome, Durrow & Co., Joseph Ives, Pond and Barnes, George Mitchell, Spenser, Worchester & Co., Welch Spring, Birge and Ives, Salem Bridge, Thompson & Co. and more! Many of the clocks are well over 200 years old. Very uncommon models, including outstanding carved cases, outstanding exotic woods, maple, tiger and figured maple, stenciling featuring cannons, armament, American eagle, basket of fruit, basket of flowers, stunning carved claw feet cases with acanthus carved columns, also with unusually carved crests, including flowers, nuts, eagles, etc. The reverse paintings on many of the clocks to be offered, and the stenciled paintings on them are very unique and will be much appreciated by clock enthusiasts, collectors, and persons living in these communities.
