Fairfield Auction is one of the premier estate auction galleries in Connecticut, specializing in antiques and fine art. Owners Jack and Rosie DeStories have served individuals and estates in the auction industry since 1988, handling over $50,000,000 of antiques and fine art and serving over 12,000 consignors. In May 2008 they achieved a record price for a Native American object at auction, selling a Tlingit warrior's helmet for $2.185 million- also the highest price ever achieved for an antique in New England. Additionally, they have also helped sell several pieces of real estate including an ocean front property for $6.1 million. They have conducted over 100 fund raising auctions for many worthy local causes, generating over $5 million.
