Over 500 colored loose gemstones and jewelry pieces in this sale, already 400+ in catalog, with more to be added right up to the sale date. The total appraised value of all items wil be nearly $20,000,000US. Recent gemologist evaluations and appraisals are included with all lots. See listings and auction terms for details. This is a no reserve auction, the opening bid may be the winning bid and there will be no reserve bidding by the auctioneer. Opening bid amounts are as low as 1/2 of 1% of appraised value and never higher than 1-1/2 %. Gem Guide wholesale prices, which are well below retail, are utilized in setting the pre-sale estimates. Most items with values of $25,000US or below have short-form gemologist evaluations which are upgradeable to the more detailed long-form. Additional photos and descriptive information will be added to the listings up until shortly before the sale, so review the catalog regularly.
