Two ancient ANDEAN wrist guards or cuffs, Moche or related people, Peru, circa 400 - 1100 A.D. Gold and silver. One with embossed rows of circle and dot pattern, the other with two filigree bands. Largest 4 1/4 x 3 inches. Both in good condition, small loss of filigree on smaller. Provenance; Private collection, New York state. Purchased circa 1990 from James Blackmon Gallery, San Francisco. Collected by the gallery in the 1980s.
