This is an example of a late WWII production British Enfield No. 4 MK 1 (T) sniper with a No. 32 MK3 scope. This was the standard British sniper rifle that was developed in the late 1930s, with over 26,000 produced it was used throughout WWII, Korea and into the 1960s when it was replaced by the L42 model. The left side of the butt socket is marked "M47/1943/AK5854/TR". It is fitted with the original blade front sight with ear protectors, and the correct No. 4, MKI adjustable folding rear sight. It is mounted with the correct WWII smooth semi-straight grip walnut stock and forend set with the removable screw-on birch cheekpiece, steel buttplate with compartment containing an original cleaning kit and leather sling. The stock has the standard acceptance proof marks in the pistol grip area. The rifle is fitted with the standard No. 32 MK3 sniper scope that is marked on top of the tube "TEL. STG. No. 32 MK3/OS 2039A/CT&S manufacturers marks/No.19083/", with the rings numbered on the top and bottom half, "D85". The mounting bracket is stamped "AT 3757". Complete with one magazine and original leather lens caps for the scope.

Condition: Very fine as arsenal refurbished. The rifle retains 85% blue finish with a smooth brown patina on the balance. The stock is also very fine with a few minor chips in the serrations on the right side of the handguard, a 4 inch minor crack running from the front barrel band back, and overall a few minor dings and scratches. The scope is very good retaining most of the original finish, thinning in areas to a smooth gray, and the optics are clear. The sling is good with some moderate age cracking. The action is fine.
