Finish: blue
Grips:
Serial Number: 49186
Condition: Fine. The rifle retains 50% of the faded, thin original blue overall. The blue on the barrel and magazine has aged to a mellow blue-brown patina with light to moderate edge wear. For some reason, the barrel is loose, but the forearm keeps it from moving ever so slightly. The receiver retains most of the blue finish and with moderate wear on the edges of the side plates and contact points on the top of the receiver and dust cover. The forearm cap shows moderate-heavy handling wear and has aged to a silver gray patina. The hammer has most of the original case colors intact. The case colors on the lever and buttplate have faded to a silver gray. The barrel markings are sharp. The stock and forearm are both in very good overall condition; and wear is limited to scattered, minor handling marks. This is a solid example of a Winchester Third Model 1876 Lever Action Rifle.
