The receiver is dated 1917 and the front toggle marked "DWM". The barrel extension and original barrel have standard proofs. The barrel is marked with the correct serial number and letter suffix. The frame is marked with the serial number and it is correctly marked "GESICHERT" and "GELADEN" on the safety and extractor respectively. Fitted with the fine tune front and rear artillery tangent sight, which is graduated from 100-800 meters. The magazine is a correct WWI version with a wooden base plate, that has been numbered to match the pistol. It has an original black leather artillery holster, marked on the inside of the flap, "G. LESCHEN & CO./KOLN-NIPPLES/1917" along with a takedown tool and cleaning rod.
BBL: 7 1/2 inch round
Stock:
Gauge: 9 mm Luger
Finish: blue
Grips: walnut checkered
Serial Number: 1078d
Condition: Fine as partially refinished with an arsenal reblue metal finish, mixed with some old touch up blue on the side of the frame and center section of the barrel. The flats and edges are still sharp with nice clear markings. The small parts retain 30% of their original straw colors overall. The grips are very good plus with nice checkering, with minor handling marks with a small chip on the left grip under the safety lever. The holster is near excellent with a nice even black color overall with clear markings. The stitching is tight overall except for the shoulder stock, retaining strap on the back of the holster, which is starting to come lose. The cleaning rod and take down tool are both excellent.
