Lot of two stereoviews. First stereoview sides measures 3’’x 3’’ and 6 ¾’’ x 3 ½’’ on tan matte. Medium contrast and focus is sharp. Almost no wear, only small pencil marks and smudges on the back of the matte. Writing in Description on the back reads “Photographed and published by B.W. Kilburn- Littleton, N.H. The image shows an unloading of logs on the Pudget Sound. Two men can be seen standing on two large logs. B.W. Kilburn was one half of the famous Kilburn brothers of New Hampshire. They produced thousands of stereoviews from 1867 to 1909. [REF:newhampshire.com/historical-markers/kilburn-brothers-stereoscopic-view-factory]. Second seteroview sides measure 3’’x 3’’ and 3 ½’’x 7’’ on yellow matte. Wear on the sides and edges of the matte. Medium contrast and focus is sharp. A mark can be seen in the center of the steroview. Along with small marks on the top of the stereoview. No photographer or date is identified. Handwritten note on the back simply reads “Oregon”, which could be the location. The image shows two riverboats alongside them are piles of logs and other wood debris.
