This unique foil print is of Nell Gwynn's House. She was one of the earliest English actresses to receive prominent recognition, and long time mistress to King Charles II. She was born in 1650 and died 14 November 1687. Called "pretty, witty Nell" by Samuel Pepys, she has been called a living embodiment of the spirit of Restoration England and has come to be considered a folk heroine, with a story the echos the rags to riches tale of Cinderella. The print is remarkable, it is done in different colored foils. It shows a building in England with little girl going in to the building. The sign in front reads Nell Gwynn's House A. D. 1640 "Here She Lived" . There is a lamp post in front of the store, that has a sign that says No Waiting. Her picture is hung above the store front. There are flower boxes in front of the store and to the left of the store as well as above the entrance, and they all have beautiful pink flowers. 15" H x 11.25" W.
