Dated 1857 on barrel tang and lock plate, with standard Remington lock plate markings. Equipped with a Maynard priming device, bayonet lug on top of barrel, front sight integral to front double barrel band, and ladder rear sight. Three barrel bands with two faint cartouches on left stock flat, faint cartouche behind trigger guard, "P eagle head" proofs on left barrel side, and "US" on buttplate tang.

Condition: Very good plus. The metal surfaces have been cleaned and there is minor pitting overall. The refinished stock is fine with some scattered minor pressure dents, dings, and scratches. Cartouche is lightly visible. Mechanically excellent, with priming mechanism fully functional.
