U. S. Model 1903 rifle manufactured by Remington in transition era, .30-06 cal., barrel marked "HS" dated 11/44, C-type stock, serial #3122338. The metal surfaces are in good condition, showing about 50% of theirarsenal finish going light at the edges from carry and use; the stock is fair to good with many small dings, mars, scratches and dents, a couple of large gouges and wear and use consistent with carry. The bolt handle shows some engraved and scratched numbers; the bottom of the pistol grip shows a P proof with the letter Z behind it. The top of the wrist shows a stamped "B". The action is good, the bore is good; there is a screwmissing from the front band. Est.: $300-$600
