Designed "M-12" by the Army, the Model 52D was one of the last Winchester target rifles used by the armed forces. The 28 inch heavy barrel has a high polished blue finish and is fitted with a front sight base. The rifle is equipped with a 14x1 1/2" Model Unertl elevation and windage adjustable scope, with Unertl mounts. The left side of the receiver is fitted with a sight base and has an electro-penciled "U.S." over the serial number (this is the only military marking applied to U.S. 52D rifles). The stock is fitted with a full length accessory track, a rubber Winchester buttplate and a lower sling swivel.

Excellent. The rifle retains 98% original blue finish with some light muzzle wear, limited mild spotting and some minor scratches, along with some minor thinning on the bolt handle. The otherwise excellent stock has been revarnished. The scope retains approximately 95% original blue finish with some minor thinning/wear caused by the mounts. The optics are clear. Mechanically excellent.
