1) 14th King's Hussars officer's pouch and crossbelt. The pouch has a silver hallmarked front plate by B&P with floral scroll engraving around the outside edge. There is a gilt Guelphic crown at the top above a double reversed and interlaced "VR" cypher with a Prussian eagle on top of it. The body is composed of black leather with gold bullion around the top edge. With floriated ends and silver belt loops. A scarce maroon Morocco lined gold lace crossbelt with crimson center stripe. Silver buckle, tip and slide by J&Co with engraved edges and matching hallmarks. There is a chained whistle and holder with hallmarks. Silvered chain plate with "PLC" cypher inside a half laurel half palm wreath with a King's crown at the top. 2) Officer's pouch with crossbelt. The pouch has a silvered front plate with floral scroll engraving around the outside edge. There is a gilt Victorian crown over the "VR" cypher. The body is composed of black leather with gold bullion along the top edge. With floriated ends and belt loops. The belt has a gold lace band on each edge with a red center stripe and backed with maroon leather. The buckle, slide, tip and pricker plates are all silver with matching J&Co. hallmarks.

Condition: 1) Very good, the silver components have a dark aged patina with the gold having a generally bright appearance with some verdigris in the protected areas. The gold lace has dulled and the leather has some cracking and minor wear. 2) Good, the black leather has some high edge wear, cracking and stains. The pouch plate has two replacement nuts with one being brass and the other contemporary. One floriated end is pulling away from the leather. All silver components have a dark aged patina. The gold lace has dulled with a few small spots of fraying. The leather backing has cracks and flaking.
