<B>The Canary Murder Case (Paramount, 1929).</B></I> Title Lobby Card (11" X 14"). This is one of several films in the Philo Vance series featuring William Powell in the role of the detective. The most notable thing about this film was the casting of Louise Brooks as the blackmailing Canary. Brooks is a screen legend whose material is some of the most collectible in the market. The title card has four pin holes in the left corner (three of which are in the black background), two in the upper center border, two in the upper right corner and one each in the lower corners. The card also has two small tears in the left border. None of these detract from the card's overall impact and eye-appeal.
