This is a stately pair of Haussmanien style antique doors from France. They are constructed of pine, circa 1870 and they are still in very good condition.

Each door is adorned with wonderful bronze antique handles (these were not original to the door).

George Eugene Haussman was hired by Napoleon III to turn Paris into a "grand city" and become the capital of France if not the Empire. For many decades, this undertaking was the largest transformation of any city in the world.

The moldings on these doors are straight lined and symmetrical. The ornamentation is simple, while their height is imposing, making a strong statement.
