Oil on canvas, framed. Featuring an abstract composition. Signed and attr. Tomie Ohtake (Brazilian Japanese, 1913-2015) on the lower right corner. Tomie Ohtake was a Japanese visual artist who was born in 1913. She has had numerous gallery and museum exhibitions, including at the Victoria Miro, London (Wharf Road) and at the Victoria Miro, London (St George Street). Several works by the artist have been sold at auction, including 'Untitled' sold at Christie's New York 'Latin American Art' in 2013 for $81,250. There have been many articles about Tomie Ohtake, including 'ARMORY EDITION: 22 Things to Do in New York’s Art World Before March 7' written by Paul Laster for Observer in 2016.
